:: the thoughts behind

I started exploring digital photography in 2005 with a ever growing desire to express more than just the captured moment. Early design experiences in web graphics and getting to know these new possibilities to take pictures, brought up a dedication to digital picture editing.

We must remember that a photograph can hold just as much as we put into it, and no one has ever approached the full possibilities of the medium.

With almost no limits set, creativity kept growing. Once I've found the right execution, got into the flow and putting my thoughts to "paper", the formation process began. Resulting in a drift into a lot of different directions. Especially the dark art sector warmed me up, trying to create abstruse and occult impressions of my thoughts and feelings.

More and more satisfied with my work I was quickly becalmed. New projects started but going was tough. So it came that I finally stopped working on new ideas, not least because of the lack of time.

:: exploring new frontiers

In early 2007 I felt guilty and new impulses rose to give the desire an expression. I bought an old analog SLR to get into the secrets of depth of field, which is a class of it's own! After a short introduction into the material, sadly other factors put me back from improving and enjoying photography again until now... ;-)
